I earned my Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology from Santa Clara University. Under the tutelage of experts in the fields of couples therapy, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral science, and trauma treatment, I came to fully understand the importance of healthy relationships and the importance of the mind-body connection.
In my undergraduate psychology program at San Jose State University, I studied neuroscience, perception, and cognition. My overarching desire is to use all that I have learned for your benefit;
to help you live your best life.
I have traveled far and wide in search of cultural understanding. Working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents from a wide variety of perspectives, backgrounds, ethnicities, physical abilities, and cultures has taught me a great deal, and has also revealed what I still have yet to learn. I have also come to value and appreciate the nuances of cross-cultural relationships and specialize in treating multicultural couples.
As a Christian therapist I am passionate about meeting people where they are, with compassion and understanding. My previous professional experience included management, staffing, and children's ministry. I have also volunteered for organizations such as ABC Project Cornerstone, CityTeam, the Global Ischemia Foundation, Parents Helping Parents, Project Hired, and 1040i.
My husband and I have been married for over 20 years and live in the Bay Area with our two sons.
Some therapists will work with you in their office and hope you are able to remember the experience. I will give you clear ways to get the most out of therapy with experiential activities and tools to use in your daily life, even long after therapy has ended. In fact, I have found that couples and individuals who engage in this between-session work feel better much faster than those who do not.
There is hope for healing.
I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you and
look forward to helping you find your way toward living your best life.
To keep my clients and our families safe, I am seeing all of my clients via confidential teletherapy at this time.
You can see me from the comfort of your own home or car.
